 DG Turf Farm & Nursery, Inc. is a local, family-owned and operated business. Employees are often asked what “DG” stands for “Darned Good!” exclaims the proprietor, Daniel "Hoot" Gibson. The company sold its first rolls of sod from an apple shed on Cloverdale Road in the early ‘70’s. The firm moved to a larger site on Fairview in 1995, and again in 2000 to 4195 N. Eagle Road.
Premium turf and large-caliper trees are grown at two production facilities near Caldwell. DG plants may be found from Barber Park to Ontario, Eagle to Kuna, Baker City to Sun Valley, and points far beyond!
DG's professional affiliations include: the Idaho Nursery and Landscape Association (INLA), Turf Producers International (TPI), Meridian Chamber of Commerce, and the Lunaria League. The Lunaria League is a philanthropic organization dedicated to fostering horticultural opportunities in our region. The company contributes to the green industry and its community through these groups, and makes donations to other schools and non-profits as well.
